Magnetic cards are usual blank cards, with the difference that a magnetic band has been added during the manufacturing proccess. It is possible to read and even record as many times as the user wants

- Writing is made by a little electromagnet that transforms an electrical signal emitted by the electronic magnetic field into a variable magneti field North-South or South-North.The magnetic material is magnetized depending on the magnetic field and keeps the track of the signal. Reading of the card is done by the same principle.
- ISO 7811 defines the plastic cards magnetic band features. A magnetic band has 3 parts.
Part1. Where the alphanumeric characters are codified.
Par2 and part3 , it can be only codified numeric characters
- Data registration is performed by binary coding. Frequency and the assembling method make the codificion of the magnetic band.
